چکیده

The present study was conducted on six dogs, selected randomly irrespective of their age, sex and breed; diagnosed with tibial diaphyseal fracture. For the repair fracture tibia, Titanium elastic intramedullary nailing performed in all cases. Clinical, orthopaedic, radiographic haemato- biochemical examinations were pre-operatively, just after surgery, at 15th, 30th 60th post-operative days. Gradual improvement weight bearing operated limb shown by cases starting from 4th to 7th day followed complete four dogs had without lameness while moving day. Satisfactory alignment radiograph days surgery. Slight migration nails site insertion three observed clinical examination, which easily managed cutting extra length nail outside skin along regular antiseptic dressing wound. haemato-biochemical parameters found within normal range different time intervals examination. On basis this study, it that stable has good efficacy for tibia having any systemic adverse effects dogs.

Elastic Stable Intramedullary Nailing for Fractures in Children – Specific Applications

Elastic stable intramedullary nailing (ESIN) is a new minimally invasive technique for the treatment of pediatric fractures. It approximates the physiological healing process of bone, without opening the fracture site. Also, the operative stress is minimal because of the minimally invasive nature of the procedure, and the volume of implants is small, offering a very good stability without plast...

Elastic stable intramedullary nailing of femoral shaft fractures in children.

We report the use of elastic stable intramedullary nailing (ESIN) in 123 fractures of the femoral shaft in children. Flexible rods are introduced through the distal metaphyseal area, and the aim is to develop bridging callus. Early weight-bearing is possible and is recommended. There was one case of bone infection and no delayed union. Complications were minimal, the most common being minor ski...

Elastic stable intramedullary nailing of midclavicular fractures in athletes.

BACKGROUND Intramedullary fixation of midclavicular fractures may be a better option than non-operative treatment for high performance/professional athletes because of the potential reduction in recovery time. OBJECTIVES To evaluate the effectiveness of intramedullary fixation in high performance athletes and the time required to return to sporting activity. METHODS Data were taken from a p...
